Garbage Gone Glam Goes International

February 27th, 2015

After some of the recent International press, Garbage Gone Glam decided to bring their dresses overseas. What started out as a solo trip for COO Michelle Fink, turned into a great opportunity for the team to bring recycled couture to Europe. Kristen and Michelle made their first stop in Zurich, Switzerland for a beautiful photo shoot in front of the Zurich Opera House. The model for this shoot featured the lovely Viktorina Kapitonova, a top ballerina in Zurich. Kristen designed a short, ballet style dress featuring colorful magazine pages. The photo shoot gained attention from everyone in the square.

Our second photo shoot took place in the heart of Milan during Fashion Week. Our model, Eleonora Doria looked fantastic in a dress made from local Milan maps. The first shoot took place right in front of the Gucci Show, causing a crowd of paparazzi and curious bystanders to see what this paper dress was all about. A quick change into a  dress made from a local magazine, and we were off to the Alberta Ferretti show.

Overall, this was a great opportunity to network with some amazing individuals and to put Glam on the map overseas. We are so grateful for everyone who helped make our trip a success.
